In the beginning, around 4.5 billion years ago, the first micro-organisms had an eagerness to exist. Our young solar system, gasses, carbon and quite literally the stuff the stars are made of, formed, grew, evolved and life was born.
Here we are, still keeping on, learning, growing, evolving and eager to exist ourselves. We are entirely interconnected with each other and the greater entity that is our solar system, planet, country, nations, cities, communities, our homes.
I'm fairly new to San Francisco and this community I live in. Realizing very quickly that it is a small part of a whole. We co-exist, have an eagerness to learn about each other, share with each other who we are, making ourselves vulnerable in trust, produce new experiences in hopes of finding happiness, laughter and love.
In this evolving of our lives of course, we learn to not only open our hearts with trust and vulnerability, but we learn through our own trials and errors, and become stronger and wiser. What we believe is right or wrong, relevant in our own lives, we slowly realize that becoming stronger and wiser through our experiences, standing up for what we have faith, and believe in, can sometimes mean sacrifice. Making tough decisions. Decisions that I hope are out of love and ultimately lead to love, for our families, friends, neighbors, community and the greater good. Self-less, strong love. Be a rock, but they say no man can be an island. When a father or mother makes a sacrifice for the love of their family showing honor and integrity. When you meet someone for the first time and enjoy them for who they really are and being thankful that they shared the real them, as hard as that may have been. Asking for someone's help in our own time of need, and giving to someone, meeting them at their place of need, providing for them without condition or greed. Love. I've said today to more than one person, I love you.
In the craziness of our worlds, our busy days and especially amongst the sadness, the disappointment. I hope that we can grow into the strength that it means to have love, share and show love, for ourselves, family and friends. If you haven't said I love you to someone today, do it. Tonight before you go to bed, be thank- full for the love someone shared with you, and share it back. If you haven't got that someone to say it to in person, call them up. Forget the txt.
There are so many walks of life in this community, this city by the bay, I love learning about. I'm eager and thank-full for the process that it's been, though not easy. I love you... you know that.
